I’m Sarah, a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. Before training as a counsellor, I spent many years working as a nurse. My path into counselling grew from sitting with people in vulnerable, uncertain moments and recognising how much it means to have space to talk openly. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the emotional lives people carry - often quietly and without much room to be heard. That understanding is what led me into counselling and continues to guide the way I work today.
I’m thoughtful, reflective, and quietly curious, and I bring those qualities into my therapeutic relationships. I’m interested in what makes each person unique — their history, their strengths, the pressures they live with, and the ways they’ve learned to cope. I see counselling as a shared process, built on trust, honesty, and genuine human connection.
I continue to learn and develop my practice through ongoing training, supervision, and a commitment to understanding the many different ways people make sense of their lives. I feel privileged to do this work and to be alongside people as they navigate whatever life is asking of them.
